Audi is a German luxury carmaker with a full line of sedans and crossovers, along with an unusual number of sporty performance models. The brand combines meticulously honed driving dynamics with extra-advanced in-cabin electronics — most famously the Virtual Cockpit, which replaces the conventional gauge cluster with a dazzling digital display. Audi names indicate their size position, roughly starting with the subcompact 3, compact 4 and 5, mid-size 6 and 7, and full-size 8. A name starting with A indicates a passenger car (A4, A6), while a Q means a crossover (Q5, Q7) except for the all-electric e-Tron. An S at the beginning of the name (S3, SQ5) indicates a sportier model with a bigger engine and other upgrades, while R (RS 5, R8) is reserved for maximum performance. The A5, A7, and Q8 are sportier “coupe” versions of the A4, A6, and Q7, respectively — most with five doors except for one version of the A5. Most Audis have a trim lineup of Premium (base), Premium Plus, and Prestige.
